Update: Janitor won't be charged in shooting death of 2 teens.

Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm has said that there will be no charges filed against a Milwaukee janitor who killed two teenagers. James Bell, 19 and Anmarie Miller, 17

"The D.A.'s office reviewed the police investigation, interviewed witnesses and viewed witness cellphone video before concluding that Rossetto shot the teens in self-defense.

The district attorney's office determined that at one point Bell grabbed Rossetto from behind and pulled him onto the stairs, while (a 20 year old man) (Clarence) Alls punched the janitor at least once and Miller repeatedly hit Rossetto with a small, souvenir baseball bat.

Rossetto drew his gun and shot Miller in the chest as she was hitting him. Seconds later, he shot Bell, who had him in a chokehold."

Charges are still under review for Clarence Alls.

Update: Grandmother charged in accidental shooting of her 4 year old grandchild.

48-year-old Renee Smith of Milwaukee has been charged with one count of leaving/storing a loaded firearm near a child — a misdemeanor.

The 4 year old, who was in his grandmothers care at the time of the shooting, is in grave condition, but improving.

Police say the grandmother was watching t.v and the 4 year old and 3 other kids were in the room with her. The four year old and 2 other kids were playing with cars. Suddenly all the kids "popped up" then they sat back down. Then there was a "loud bang" and 2 of the 3 kids "popped up" again.

It is unclear if the grandmother was either keeping a gun for someone else or bought the gun for protection. Smith was in possession of the gun, which she kept in a shoebox under the bed, for about 3 weeks. Police spoke with a man who said he sold her the gun six to 8 months ago with 5 bullets in it, for $300.00.

If convicted Smith could face a maximum of nine months in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
