Update: Devin Seaberry to be sentenced today for his role in the brutal murder of Evon Young

Update 3/7/2013: Devin Seaberry is set to be sentenced today for his part in the brutal murder of Evon Young. 18-year-old Ashanti Mcalister, 37-year-old Ron Allen, 26-year-old Billy Griffin and 27-year-old Victor Stewart were also charged in connection with Young’s death.

                                        Evon Young, a Milwaukee rapper known as "Yung LT" disappeared on January 2nd, 2013 and was reported missing by his mother Annette Cross-Perry.  


 

 Police are still searching for his body. Five men in total have been charged in his murder.


  • Ashanti McAlister: Sentenced to life in prison for substantial battery (substantial bodily harm with intent to cause bodily harm) as party to a crime
  • Billy Griffin: Judge declared a mistrial in June, and a new trial begins on February 17th. He is charged with substantial battery (substantial bodily harm with intent to cause bodily harm) as party to a crime
  • Devin Seaberry: Pleaded guilty of first degree intentional homicide, party to a crime sentencing is set for March 7th
  • Victor Stewart: Pleaded guilty of  Pleaded guilty of substantial battery (substantial bodily harm with intent to cause bodily harm) as party to a crime, sentencing is set for April 4thand sentencing is set for February 27th
  • Ron Allen: Found guilty of first degree intentional homicide, party to a crime

"A criminal complaint says Stewart, Mcalister, Allen and Seaberry came to the house near 52nd and Custer that Young shared with Griffin. Stewart said Young could not be trusted — and he told Griffin that he could be reinstated into their street gang (the Black P-Stones) if he killed Young.
Police say the five accused beat Young, choked him with a thick chain and then McAlister shot him three times."
